Race 1

HES NEVA BEEN BETA (1) disappointed first-up but he does his best racing when right up on the speed and he will be hard to catch if he can hold up at the start. INSTA GATOR (10) has resumed from a spell in great form and should be in the finish if he has any luck from his trailing draw. SWEET LUCIFER (2) has recorded three wins and four 2mds from her seven starts this time in and her turn of foot makes her dangerous in any race she contests. SOHO MOONRAKER (11) was a comfortable all-the-way winner in good time here last week but goes to the back line tonight.

Race 2

ETON ROCK (1) was a strong winner here two starts back before having no luck at his last start. He is drawn to lead tonight and should give a great sight. OTIS ((5) drops significantly in class on his 8th here last week and can be put into the race in this company. LOVE ON THE ROCKS (2) enjoyed a soft run when a solid 4th here last week in a stronger field and looks the other major player. IDEAL TOMADO (10) is drawn to enjoy a nice run on the pegs and can figure if he sees daylight at the right time.

Race 3

THENU CAME ALONG (1) led throughout in weaker company two starts back before drawing poorly and was never in contention in the Western Gateway. He gets his chance from the pole tonight and should give a great sight. ATLANTIC GEM (4) worked hard when a close-up 4th here last week and should make her presence felt here. MIKIS GEM (10) only got out when the race was over here last week but is drawn to enjoy a nice run just behind the speed and should be thereabouts. MENEMSHA (7) drops in class on his close 3rd to Christopher Dance here lasty week but isn’t as well drawn tonight.

Suggested Bet: THENU CAME ALONG (1) to win.

Race 4

GOODFELLAZ (1) won three of his four starts back from a spell before doing things wrong at his last start. He goes up significantly in class tonight but he will give them something to catch over the sprint trip if he can hold up at the start. JAWSOFLINCOLN (2) drew poorly and couldn’t get into the race first-up but he will be prominent throughout tonight and looks a major player. STEEL THE SHOW (11) is back in form and he will follow JAWSOFLINCOLN (2) through at the start. HOPPYS WAY (10) was solid first-up and he can be in the money at good each way odds from his nice trailing draw.

Tips: 1 2 11 10

Suggested Bet: GOODFELLAZ (1) each way.

Race 5

MISTER SMARTEE (2) took his record to 12 wins from 14 career starts when comfortably beating an almost identical field from this barrier at his last start. He isn’t certain to lead tonight but is still clearly the one to beat. PINNY TIGER (5) is the fastest beginner in the state and he will give a great sight at this distance if he can cross at the start. MIGHTY RONALDO (1) will enjoy a nice run behind the speed and is always dangerous under that scenario. JUMPINGJACKMAC (7) had no luck but performed admirably first up and will come into contention if there is a fast early tempo.

Suggested Bet: MIGHTY RONALDO (1) each way.

Race 6

SOHO DOW JONES (2) has finished just behind the placegetters since winning here five starts back and this looks a suitable assignment. ALCOPONY (5) has been placed in all three starts this time in and should be right in the finish again. THE CODE BREAKER (1) has been unplaced in his last 11 starts but can improve from the poler draw. STREET HAWK (8) is first-up from a wide draw but he can play a part if there is a solid early tempo.

Tips: 2 6 1 8

Suggested Bet: SOHO DOW JONES (2) to win.

Race 7

OUR SANDY SHORE (3) has won three out of her last four starts in the country and the times she is running indicate that she will be hard to catch if she can work her way to the front in the early stages. PEACEFUL (9) has the best form in the race and has the strength to overcome her wide draw. MONTANA GLORY (5) hit the line nicely behind Steno last week and will find this easier. OUR LADY JEN (1) is drawn to get a lovely and did beat OUR SANDY SHORE (3) two starts back.

Tips: 3 9 5 1

Suggested Bet: OUR SANDY SHORE (3) to win.

Race 8

THE MIKI TAKER (6) hasn’t had much luck in stronger company at his last two starts but this is a significantly easier assignment and he is clearly the one to beat. OK BOOMER (9) has won his last two starts and is ready for the rise in class but the draw makes it tough. REGAL CHEVAL (5) has very good gate speed and will give a great sight if he can find the front. MY ULTIMATE CHEVRON (1) led when 2nd in moderate time at his last start and can play a part from the pole.

Tips: 6 9 5 1

Suggested Bet: THE MIKI TAKER 6) to win.

Race 9

MAGNUS VICTOR (2) has been a beaten favourite at his last two starts but the efforts have been full of merit and he will be hard to beat if he can find the front tonight. CHIVALRY (6) looks set to work the breeze and he should fight out the finish from that position. THOMSON BAY (1) has options at the start and could be the beneficiary if the favoured pair take each other on. LAMANDIER (4) defeated a weaker field here on Tuesday and maps to get a nice run just off the speed.

Tips: 2 6 1 4

Suggested Bet: MAGNUS VICTOR (2) to win.

Race 10

MARENGO BAY (5) is a lightly raced trotter who resumed with as nice 3rd to HOLD THAT GOLD (5) at Pinjarra. He will strip fitter for that effort and looks suited by the staying journey. HOLD THAT GOLD (4) led throughout in that event and he must be respected as he looks the likely leader again. OUR MAESTOSO (7) has won 14 of his 19 career starts including the Trotters Cup and he will be hard to beat if he is anywhere near his best at his first run back from a spell. PATCHED (8) worked hard in the run when 4th to HOLD THAT GOLD (4) in that Pinjarra event and can play a part with the right cart into the race.
