Race 1

Up to 25mm of rain forecast for race day, so the meeting could be significantly affected by weather and scratchings. SOCKS NATION is ready to break through and handled soft ground well last start. She should cross, settle near the speed and get her chance. PIERCING SKY worked home well on debut and will appreciate the extra 100m. TARVUE worked home ok in the same race as Socks Nation last start and with a cleaner get away can settle closer. EVERETT is fit and consistent.

Race 2

GINGER ‘N’ PINK has jumped out quite well to resume and has looked much better than maiden grade in a couple of her performances to date. NEWZOU and MISS CARDANNIC have both jumped out in good style and deserve respect on debut. SOME SHIELA will strip fitter and will be suited by the slight rise in distance. ORDER TO CHARGE has handled wet ground and jumped out nicely to resume.

Race 3

Competitive race despite the small field. SOAR BEYOND was well ridden and showed good race sense to win at his second start. IL CUBO backs up from Cranbourne last Saturday, where he stuck on well behind a promising filly. NATION STATE won well first up and can take advantage of the inside draw. TRUSTFALL had the right run to score first up but the second horse has won well since to frank that form. MAGIC MOGUL has a case and was close up behind Run Harry Run two starts back.

Suggested Bet: Slight leaning Soar Beyond

Race 4

ZOUPURRING steps up to 1600m for the first time but will make his own luck and stuck on well in a stronger race over 1400m last time. PATRICK swaps winkers for blinkers, he’ll strip fitter third up and the form around him is holding up well. KENTUCKY NICK has jumped out in great style to resume at a suitable trip. TAPA CAPALL pulled up with an excuse first up, his previous form was solid and he gets a tongue tie applied.

Suggested Bet: Zoupurring to win

Race 5

Competitive race. SPERANZOSO is some query on rain affected ground but won his maiden in the manner of a horse that can measure up to stronger races last time. TOMMY may have been in slightly inferior ground in a stronger race last start and can bounce back. SKY HORSE has jumped out well between runs and enjoys getting her toe in the ground. MY BROTHERS KEEPER may be looking for slightly further but has handled soft ground ok and the First Immortal form reads well for this.

Race 6

VONK bolted in to break his maiden last start and the form from that race is holding up well. He seems comfortable on wet ground. SIMEON will strip fitter for his first up run behind PRODE OF GALWAY and both have claims. FREE TO MOVE hit the line well last week and will enjoy any give in the track. WAR FRONTIER pulled up with a slow recovery last start and is in the game on his previous form.

Race 7

RUNNING BY has jumped out well to resume has been competitive at stakes level previously. SOUTH OF HOUSTON will strip fitter second up and is sure to appreciate the significant drop in grade with a claim. ZAMBORGHINI has jumped out well alongside Bel Air (narrowly beaten at Cranbourne Saturday) since his first up win. PRETTY TAVI will be close to her top now, she travelled wide and still fought on strongly second up. MASTERFUL overcame some difficulties to score last time.

Suggested Bet: Running By each way

Race 8

TORONTO TERRIER was no match for Danaustar second up but that form held up well at Kembla Grange last Saturday. He’ll strip fitter third up and may be looking for 1400m now. EL SOLEADO hit the line strongly over 1200m first up and looks a strong danger. LE FERRARI has trialled well to resume. QUANG TRI handles wet ground well and would be hard to beat on her best form.
