Mandurah 22-23 January – Greyhounds Preview Posted on January 22, 2016January 22, 2016 | Posted by David Shortte David Shortte’s Preview Friday 22 January Race 3 No. 1 Baracca Keeping Race 5 No. 1 Senator Monelli Race 6 No. 6 Astrophysic Race 7 No. 7 Red A Roarer Race 8 No. 2 Kruggerand Bet Now Saturday 23 January Race 1 No. 1 BELFAST TOMMY Handed in his best performance since coming to WA last start when runner-up behind the very talented Brock On in a time of 22.86. Showed good early pace on that occasion recording an early split of 6.69 and if he is able to come out in similar fashion here should land in a great spot. The clear danger looks to be the 5 Wagtail Kate who has been impressive in her career to date. They look a nice quinella play here. Race 4 No. 2 TUREAUD Winner at 18 of his 33 career starts and racing in peak form with wins at 4 of his last 5 starts. Loves an inside draw and with a moderate beginner drawn on his inside should again be the first to the rail. Once he assumes that position is usually very hard to get past. Has run best of the night times at his last 2 wins and again looms as the one they will have to run down. Race 5 No. 1 CRASHING PACKS Model of consistency who has a win and 3 seconds at his last 4 starts and loves this draw where he has had 8 tries for 5 wins and 2 placings. Was flashing home last week in the Birthday Cup final and that run leads me to thinking this fellow is ready to win again. Very reliable canine and I’m happy to team up with him here.
