Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Mornington Preview Posted on June 20, 2023June 20, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 EMBARQUE has jumped out impressively on heavy ground and looks hard to beat on debut. NEW HAMPSHIRE is consistent, he has a fitness and experience advantage over Embarque. KAHLIDA has jumped out well to resume. OUR RED MORNING had no luck in the home straight last start and should’ve finished a lot closer. Selections: 7,5,8,10 Suggested Bet: Embarque to win Race 2 Both MISS STEIGLITZ, who gets blinkers first time, and SNIPASTAR, have jumped out in good style to resume. ISDELL was consistent during his first preparation and has also jumped out well. MA BELLE GRISE covered ground on debut and under the circumstances there was plenty of merit in her performance. LIP SIP SUK has claims. Selections: 8,12,2,7 Suggested Bet: Something on Miss Steiglitz and Snipastar at odds Race 3 FALCON OF MALTA takes a rise in grade following his maiden victory, but the strength of that performance indicates he’s likely to measure up. PARTY AT ARTIES endured a wide run in tougher company last time, his previous for was solid. PROPRIETRY will strip fitter third up, he’s a winner here and may take a more forward spot. MOVEFORLEX has been racing though the grades well in Tassie. Selections: 4,2,6,1 Suggested Bet: Falcon of Malta to win Race 4 COURT DEEP will make his own luck and ran well in a similar race here last start. COPPERFIELD looks the main danger, he covered ground and stuck on ok at his latest run. VAN ROY maps for a good run behind the speed and may appreciate the rise in distance. FLIGHT TO THE MOON has trialled well to resume. Selections: 1,4,6,5 Suggested Bet: Court Deep each way Race 5 SMOKIN’ HOLLY gets blinkers back on and may have been trapped in inferior ground last start. STAY IN TOUCH has been freshened, her last run on heavy ground at Warrnambool lines up well here. SIR FREDDIE has a habit of being slowly away but handles heavy ground and has the talent to win. DREAM OF MINE takes another rise in grade but appears to appreciate having her races spaced and will make her own luck. Selections: 7,2,3,5 Suggested Bet: Smokin’ Holly each way Race 6 HOLLYWOOD SIREN closed off well here last time and should be better for the run in the distance range. DICK WHITTINGTON looks well placed rising in trip and dropping in grade but is a query on heavy ground. BORS is racing well, he handles wet ground and will give a sight on speed. BURGUNDER should appreciate the step up in distance. Selections: 7,5,4,1 Suggested Bet: Hollywood Siren each way Race 7 JACK OF IT has plenty of talent and has jumped out well on heavy ground between runs. LA CARESSE looks well placed third up on his home track on rain affected ground. LE DERRIERE is building a handy record, she likes racing here and the form around her is strong. CORKSCREW is capable of improving second up. LA ZUCCA is another with claims in a deep race. Selections: 10,2,11,8 Suggested Bet: Jack Of It each way Market Market
