Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on January 10, 2023January 10, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 NUNTHORPE was well supported to win on debut and sprinted quickly when clear to score in impressive fashion. She should appreciate 1400m. RHEINBERG won well at 1400m at his first Australian start and has jumped out nicely between runs. REMIX ran well at his first Australian start and is another that looks suited at 1400m. PYRIOS and THESECONDATPORTSEA are in the mix. Selections: 4,1,2,3 Suggested Bet: Nunthorpe to win Race 2 ATTRITION looked good in his first preparation and has jumped out well to resume, he’ll just needs some luck from the draw. MEMPHIS SHADOW had trialled nicely prior to an encouraging debut and should appreciate the extra trip. BRAZEN KINGDOM looks suited at 1400m on debur based on his recent jumpouts. MIRRORING, HURRICANE KETUT and CALABRIAN GIRL have claims. Selections: 4,8,5,9 Suggested Bet: Attrition to win Race 3 TAPIN’ THREE’S form behind Giga Kick is hard to ignore. She’s jumped out well to resume, but that was over a month ago? GRINGOTTS appears to move nicley at the jump outs without being tested. MAGNUPUR has race fitness and has run well at all his runs to date. SHAKATTAK and DIRTY GRIN should break their maidens sooner rather than later. Selections: 10,6,7,8 Suggested Bet: Tapin’ Three to win Race 4 HARD SQUEEZE has been progressing well this preparation and looks suited out to 2100m third up. FIRE GLO TOO has been racing consistently and should be at peak fitness now. YOUNG HOSTESS ran well first up and boasts a strong second up record. MAX MERCURY won an easier race in dominant fashion last start at his first test beyond 1800m. Selections: 6,2,3,7 Suggested Bet: Hard Squeeze to win Race 5 THE CLAIMANT was responsible for an eye catching return over 1600m in stronger company and Riverplate franked that form last Saturday. FREEDOM ESCAPE was back to his better form last time and ran well at his only start here. OCEAN RAIDER found a suitable race at Geelong, but his previous form lines up well. MARCOLT can be hard to catch, but he backs up quickly and his best is good enough. SPEAKEASY broker her maiden in good style last start. Selections: 6,4,9,3 Suggested Bet: The Claimant to win Race 6 Competitive race. RUGGIERO covered ground last time and maps for a better run. If SUNFALL can hold a spot from a favourable draw, he looks a strong chance. BLACK ZOUS has upside, he won his maiden well last start and has jumped out nicely since. SONORA improved second up with blinkers on and looks te other key winning hope. Selections: 8,6,7,9 Suggested Bet: Ruggeiro each way Race 7 Another competitive race. UNUSUAL CULTURE is liekly to be better over further, but she has looked sharp in recent jumpouts and seems well placed with the claim. DEFINING has some strong form lines but hasn’t been seen for a while. The market closer to the race may provide a guide. INTISAR has returned in great form and looks capable of measuring up to the stronger company. FIELD OF PRAISE, COLORADO CRUZ and LITTLE MISS KUBI have claims. Selections: 1,2,4,7 Suggested Bet: Unusual Culture each way Race 8 KEITEL in an intruiging runner. He was well backed to win impressively on debut on a synthetic track, he hasn’t been tested at all in a couple of recent jumpouts. KALASHANI LAD likes it here and is racing in great form. IN DUE TIME has had excuses this preparation and should enjoy a more spacious circuit. THE ART OF FLYING has competed at a much higher level and has been jumping out quite well to resume. JEZOULENKO should get a soft run behind the speed. Selections: 12,5,9,3 Suggested Bet: Keitel to win Market Market
