Race 1

ONESMARTFELLA (1) led throughout here last week in 1.56.5 at his first run back from a spell and appeals as the one to beat again despite the rise in class and distance. STRIKE TEAM (11) has resumed with consecutive victories including an impressive 1.54.1 win here last week and looks the obvious danger. BETTORS DESTROYA (2) beat an easier field first-up and can play a part from her nice draw. WAIT FOR THE BELL (10) ran 2nd to STRIKE TEAM (11) here last week and should be thereabouts from his nice trailing draw.

Tips: 1 11 2 10

Suggested Bet: ONESMARTFELLA (1) to win.

Race 2

VALENTINES BROOK (2) has resumed with consecutive 2nds at Pinjarra where he has had to overcome awkward draws. He should strip fitter and can be driven assertively from this barrier and appeals as the one to beat. SANGUE REALE (4) has finished just behind the placegetters at his three runs this time in and looks a major player here.  ARMA EINSTEIN (8) ran on well to finish 2nd in a stronger field here last week but has a tough draw to overcome. ROBBIE ROCKET (6) needs luck in his races but will be charging home.

Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (2) to win.

Race 3

HIMSELF (1) was suited by the hot tempo when running on to win the Golden Nugget in blistering time. He takes on the older horses tonight but has good gate speed and he should give a great sight. HANDSANDWHEELS (3) was blocked for a run last week and should be ready to play a part in a race of this nature. GLENLEDI CHIEF (6) had his own way out in front but was outsprinted here last week and can bounce back here. BEAT CITY (7) was held up for a run in the same race and can be thereabouts.

Suggested Bet: HIMSELF (1) to win.

Race 4

MINSTREL (11) is a former Golden Nugget winner who has struggled to recapture his best form but his last effort was full of merit and he looks a good each way chance here. PRINCE OF PLEASURE (12) has acquitted himself well in three starts in this company and should be in the finish. JUMPINGJACKMAC (7) ran a great 2nd inn the Golden Nugget and has proven to be up to this company. IDEAL AGENT (10) worked hard to overcome a wide draw when a close-up 4th sat his last start and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time.

Tips: 11 12 7 10

Suggested Bet: MINSTREL (11) each way.

Race 5

THREE RUMOURS (4) was a strong winner from the breeze before finishing a close-up 5th in a stronger field at her last start and appeals as the one to beat. NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (9) wasn’t fancied at her first run back from a spell but drops in class tonight and can make her presence felt. MISS SERENADE (5) has won three of her last four starts and is ready for the rise in class. SHEZA BROMAC (1) has been racing well in stands and has the gate speed to lead if desired.

Suggested Bet: THREE RUMOURS (4) to win.

Race 6

MACHNIFICENT (6) had no luck here last week after a solid 4th in the Golden Nugget and will appreciate the drop in class. MOONLITE DRIVE (1) led throughout here and ran home in 56.4 five starts and a similar performance will make him hard to catch. IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (5) was narrowly beaten in quick time at his last start and will be dangerous if the race is run to suit. RASCAL (2) had no luck from a wide draw but must be considered on his previous efforts in similar company.

Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (6) to win.

Race 7

CYCLONE CHARLOTTE (9) won three on end before losing no admirers when overcoming a wide draw to finish 3rd over the sprint trip. She is better suited by tonight’s distance and looks the one to beat. WALL STREET GIRL (1) is an unreliable beginner but she would be extremely hard to beat if she could hold up at the start. ELLI MIRANDO (4) was an impressive 1.56.7 all-the-way winner at her last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. ELSAMAY (10) will come right into calculations if the polemarker can hold up.

Suggested Bet: CYCLONE CHARLOTTE (9) to win.

Race 8

ORLANDO BLUE (9) ran a solid 2nd to AUSSIE SCOOTER (8) here two starts back and meets that pacer 10m better off tonight. AUSSIE SCOOTER (8) is racing extremely consistently in these events and should fight out the finish again. STRAUNY (4) is in top form and will be hard to catch if he can find the front in the early stages. COOPER (1) holds the key to the race as he handed up the lead when placed here two starts back in a similar event but led when disappointing in a mobile here last week.

Suggested Bet: ORLANDO BLUE (9) to win.

Race 9

LEOSABI (1) worked hard in the run before finishing 4th to Onesmartfella here last week and will be hard to beat tonight if he can make the most of the pole draw. ALTA RHETT (11) has been placed in two of his last three starts and should be thereabouts again from his nice trailing draw. GEE SMITH (10) is drawn to trail the favourite and looks a great place chance. SHADOW ROLL (12) ran a solid 5th from the breeze here last week and has the class to overcome his back line draw.

Suggested Bet: LEOSABI (1) to win.

Race 10

SKYLORD (3) looked extremely promising in his first campaign which culminated in a 2nd to Never Ending in the Golden Slipper. He was scratched here recently but is clearly the one to beat if he is anywhere near his best for his return. RONALD SCOTT (7) won three of his four starts last time in and could be the main danger to his stablemate. IMPERIUM (2) has led throughout to win two of his last three starts and has a race-fitness advantage over his main rivals. OUR SANDY SHORE (4) is in form but takes on the boys here.
