Race 1

WONDERFUL TO FLY (5) has had a setback since winning her last seven on end but looks too good for this field if anywhere near her best. IM THEMIGHTYLUCY (1) has won both of her starts in WA and is drawn perfectly to offset the rise in class. FREE WHEELING (2) was a strong all-the-way winner here at her last start and will give a sight if she can find the pegs in the early stages. SEE THE WORLD (10) has been placed in three of her last four starts and can be in the money again from her nice trailing draw.

Tips: 5 1 2 10

Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (5) to win.

Race 2

BRACKEN SKY (1) has only been placed in one of his last six starts but will lead here and should prove hard to catch. HOTFOOT IT (2) ran on from back in the field to finish a nice 4th at his first run back from a spell and should settle closer to the lead here. IDEAL CHARM (10) is drawn to trail the favourite and looks a good place chance. DISCO UNDER FIRE (11) has a nice trailing draw and can run into the money at big odds.

Suggested Bet: BRACKEN SKY (1) to win.

Race 3

BOOM TIME (1) has impressed without winning in all three runs this time in and gets his chance from the pole tonight. ARMA EINSTEIN (11) has been racing well in stronger fields and should enjoy a nice run in the moving line tonight. EUPHORIA (3) was a beaten favourite when extending his losing sequence to 18 here last week but is racing well and won’t be far away. SHADOW ROLL (8) is the other class runner of the field but is drawn poorly.

Suggested Bet: BOOM TIME (1) to win.

Race 4

PLUTONIUM (1) resumed after a year away from the racetrack with an impressive win over Fanci A Dance here last week and is clearly the one to beat from the pole tonight. ALWAYS FAST (12) struggled against the state’s best pacers at his first start in WA but drops significantly in class for this assignment. AL GUERRERO (10) is drawn to get a lovely run on the back of the favourite and looks a great place chance. ORLANDO BLUE (2) was a solid all-the-way winner here last week and looks to be working back towards his best form.

Suggested Bet: PLUTONIUM (1) to win.

Race 5

CHICAGO BULL (2) has only won one of his past 20 starts but this looks his best chance to notch up another victory. He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and looks the one to beat. MINSTREL (6) couldn’t make up ground in a quick last quarter here last week but will be fitter for that effort and can make his presence felt. LAVRA JOE (5) wasn’t suited in a sit-sprint affair last week and he is likely to use his strength tonight.  JUMPINGJACKMAC (4) defeated a similar field last week but is unlikely to get it all his own way here.

Tips: 2 6 5 4

Suggested Bet: MINSTREL (6) each way.

Race 6

HIMSELF (3) defeated a similar field from the breeze before running a game 2nd here last week and is clearly the one to beat. COOPER (2) led and had every chance when 2nd to HIMSELF (2) two starts back and looks the obvious danger. ACUTO (8) won a weaker Northam event after finishing 3rd to the two favourites and should be thereabouts again. MAJOR ARTIST (1) doesn’t have the class of most of his rivals but can sneak a place from this draw.

Suggested Bet: HIMSELF (3) to win.

Race 7

EIGHTEEN CARAT (2) was a dominant 1.55.8 all-the-way winner at her last start and is clearly the one to beat from this draw. GLORAFILIA (5) crosses the Tasman with promising form lines and must be respected first-up. SUNSHINE SWIFT (1) has been placed in four of her last five starts and the rise in class is offset by her perfect draw. SAHARA STORM (4) led throughout at her last start and can be right in the finish despite facing a harder task tonight.

Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (2) to win.

Race 8

TRIROYALE BRIGADE (4) has been unplaced in his last seven starts but this is a weak field and he should give a great sight. CROWDED REACTOR (1) hasn’t looked likely this time in but gets his chance from the pole tonight. FLYING MISTER IDEAL (3) has been struggling from back marks in stands but is another who can improve in this field. SAMEPLACE SAMETIME (2) is well drawn and that is a plus in a field of this nature.

Suggested Bet: TRIROYALE BRIGADE (4) to win.

Race 9

ANGEL IN WHITE (1) led throughout here three starts back and has finished 2nd after facing the breeze at her subsequent starts. She is likely to hold up at the start and will be very hard to catch in that role. DOMINUS FACTUM (4) is a quick beginner who may make a play for the lead and he will be a big chance if he can cross in the early stages. PIERRE WHITBY (2) is drawn to get a nice run just off the speed and won’t be far away. ALTA RHETT (5) is the other class runner of the field but the draw makes it tough.

Suggested Bet: ANGEL IN WHITE (1) to win.

Race 10

ADVANTAGE (2) is making his debut tonight and his trial times have only been fair but he looks to be promising and should give a great sight from this draw. WANEA (6) would win this at her best but she’s an inconsistent type who disappointed as a $1.45 favourite behind Pocketful Of Opals here last week. CHEWYSLOOSECHANGE (5) faced the breeze when a close-up 3rd in the same race here and should be in the finish. OUR MIDNIGHT DAWN (1) finished 3rd to ADVANTAGE (2) in a recent trial and is drawn to be prominent throughout.
