Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 28, 2022April 28, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ELDAYTONA (5) has won four of his last five starts and dashed home in 26.9 when winning his last start. He will be extremely hard to catch if he finds the lead but will still give a great sight from the breeze. THE CODE BREAKER (4) worked to the front when a strong 2nd here last week and should fight out the finish again. NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (11) won four on end before working too hard last start and will appreciate the likely solid tempo. UNCONDITIONAL (10) is flying and will be dangerous if she sees daylight at the right time. Tips: 5 4 11 10 Suggested Bet: ELDAYTONA (5) to win. Race 2 BEAT CITY (5) had trialled well before resuming with a narrow 2nd to Power And Grace and appeals as the one to beat here. WILL I ROCKNROLL (12) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts but is capable of being in the finish here if there is a solid tempo. CLASSIC CHOICE (11) ran a close-up 3rd to Double Up in a stronger field here last week and must be considered. FANCI A DANCE (10) drops in class on his last start but has an awkward draw behind a slow beginner. Tips: 5 12 11 10 Suggested Bet: BEAT CITY (5) to win. Race 3 EUPHORIA (1) ran a nice 4th from the breeze here last week and appeals as the one to beat tonight if he can hold up at the start. IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (4) goes up in class here but has impressed in winning six of his nine starts this time in and should fight out the finish. ARMA EINSTEIN (2) has been placed in nine of his past 11 starts and won’t be far away again. DON’T BOTHER ME NONE (8) has won three out of his past four start and will give a great sight but looks likely to endure a tough run in transit. Tips: 1 4 2 8 Suggested Bet: EUPHORIA (1) to win. Race 4 REGAL CHEVAL (1) has a losing sequence of 23 but ran a strong 3rd from the breeze here last week and should give them something to catch from the pole tonight. HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (10) ran an eye-catching 2nd from this draw here last week and will be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. PIERRE WHITBY (2) loves the longer trip and can be placed at good odds. VESPA (9) is racing extremely consistently and would have been extremely hard to beat from a better draw but will need luck from out here. Tips: 1 10 2 9 Suggested Bet: REGAL CHEVAL (1) to win. Race 5 TEXAS TIGER (4) displayed his dazzling gate speed to find the front and beat a similar field here last week and can repeat the dose here. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (6) ran on well to finish 2nd in that event and looks the main danger again. DOUBLE UP (5) was an upset winner in slick time at his last start and must be respected on that effort. SANGUE REALE (1) led throughout from this draw in 1.55.8 here three starts back and should make his presence felt again. Tips: 4 6 5 1 Suggested Bet: TEXAS TIGER (4) to win. Race 6 OUR SHOOTING STAR (1) has won four of her last six starts and is a proven stand performer. She looks the likely leader here and will give a great sight. MISS MUCHO (5) has the best form in the event but has galloped out at her last two starts from the stand and must be taken on trust. MY PRAYER (7) has been racing in stronger company and will make her presence felt if she can step cleanly at her first attempt from the tapes. CAPTURED DELIGHT (6) doesn’t appear to be a racing at her best but likes the stand and looks an improver tonight. Tips: 1 5 7 6 Suggested Bet: UNCONDITIONAL (4) to win. Race 7 ALCOPONY (4) has won two of his last three starts and is the best drawn of the main chances. INFINITE SIGN (6) goes up in class but has impressed with three wins and a 2nd from his four starts this time in and looks like he’ll measure up. HIGH PRICE (9) has been a costly customer for punters but does have ability and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. HOPPYS WAY (7) has chased hard when 2nd to the classy Wonderful To Fly at his last two starts and possesses dazzling gate speed. Tips: 4 6 9 7 Suggested Bet: ALCOPONY (4) each way. Race 8 TALKS UP A STORM (1) will be fitter for his first-up run when he sat on Eldaytona and ran 2nd to that pacer. He looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to catch. SOHO BROADWAY (5) has plenty of ability but didn’t seem to be at her best in her three WA starts last time in. She resumes here without a trial so monitor the betting. YANKEE LINCOLN (6) trialled nicely before being blocked for a run at his first WA run and looks to be in for a good campaign. TIZA NEW DAY (2) can be placed at odds from his nice draw. Tips: 1 5 6 2 Suggested Bet: TALKS UP A STORM (1) to win. Race 9 IDEAL AGENT (6) has won two of his three starts this time and worked hard when a brave 3rd in the other. He has an awkward draw to overcome but is clearly the one to beat. MISTER BUSHIDO (1) hasn’t had much luck since scoring a good win from this draw here three starts back and looks a danger from the pole. DOC HOLLIDAY (3) did defeat the favourite three starts back and should be right in the finish. JACK FARTHING (7) has raced in significantly better company but we haven’t seen his best lately and he is drawn poorly. Tips: 6 1 3 7 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (6) to win. Race 10 FLAMETREE (1) has led throughout to win her last three starts and is the one to beat but will receive more opposition tonight. THORIUM ENERGY (2) has been placed in her two starts and should trail the polemarker and be the obvious danger. FEELING EMPATHY (6) has shown plenty of ability in her three race starts but is likely to settle at the tail in a slowly run affair. OUR LADY JEN (3) will benefit from her first career run and can be placed. Tips: 1 2 6 3 Suggested Bet: FLAMETREE (1) to win. Market Market
