Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 29, 2021July 29, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 DELIGHTFULL (1) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd here at his last start. She goes up in class but that is offset by the draw and she should give a great sight if she can hold up at the start. BETTOR BE LIVELY (7) was a strong 4th at his first start back from a spell and should fight out the finish. ROBBIE EASTON (8) couldn’t make up ground in a quick last half at his first run back from a break but can figure here. DEEORSE (2) can be dangerous if he can obtain a soft run close to the speed. Tips: 1 7 8 2 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE LIVELY (7) each way. Race 2 VESPA (3) didn’t see daylight here last week but should settle in a handy spot in the moving line tonight and will be hard to hold out. MACHS GOLD (1) is likely to be crossed at the start but will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be dangerous late. BAYLAN JETT (2) led throughout here at his last start and should give a great sight again. BETTOR BE OSCAR (6) has an awkward draw to overcome but was a strong 3rd at his last start and must be considered. Tips: 3 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: MACHS GOLD (1) each way. Race 3 MIRACLE MOOSE (4) is the class runner of the field and will strip fitter after his nice first-up 2nd to Magnificent Storm here last week. SPACE JUNK (1) was a good all-the-way winner in easier company here last week and can play a part from the pole. TYLER BRETT (3) was well-backed when he led and finished 3rd to Son Of A Tiger in quick time at his last start and must be respected. BRACKEN SKY (5) looked the winner until nabbed on the line last week and is always dangerous with the right run in transit. Tips: 4 1 3 5 Suggested Bet: MIRACLE MOOSE (4) to win. Race 4 AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (1) led and gave a great sight but couldn’t hold off MINSTREL (9) when a 4m 2nd at his last start. He meets that rival with a further 10m advantage and that may be enough to turn the tables. MINSTREL (9) was ultra-impressive last start and is definitely capable of overcoming his 40m handicap. NEARIS GREEN (3) was finished 4th behind the favoured pair last start and should be thereabouts again. POWERPLAY (7) has led throughout to win his last three starts but isn’t as well suited here. Tips: 1 9 3 7 Suggested Bet: AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (1) to win. Race 5 VAMPIRO (4) was outsprinted by Chiaroscuro in a 27.1 last quarter at his last start but will be give a great sight if he crosses at the start here. VULTAN TIN (2) battled bad barriers at his last four starts before a short break and will make his presence felt from this draw. PATRONUS STAR (7) chased hard when 2nd to Mighty Conqueror here last week and will be charging home if there is a solid early tempo. MAJOR TIMES (6) wasn’t suited when forced to breeze in the same race and can improve tonight. Tips: 4 2 7 6 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (4) to win. Race 6 FIFTY FIVE REBORN (1) has led throughout to win at her last three starts. She steps up in class tonight but should lead and give a great sight again. ALTA BLUES (11) won two on end before running a solid 4th to Mighty Conqueror in stronger company. He will appreciate a drop in class tonight and is the obvious danger. BACK IN TWENTY (4) is racing extremely well but has a slightly awkward draw to overcome. EUPHORIC MOMENT (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 1 11 4 10 Suggested Bet: FIFTY FIVE REBORN (1) to win. Race 7 STAR OF DIAMONDS (8) won three of her last four starts before a spell and looks the one to beat despite resuming from a short break without a trial. MINI MINE YET (5) ran on strongly to defeat a similar field here last week and looks a major player on that effort. MANDY JOAN (7) was resuming when running on well to finish 3rd in that event and will strip fitter tonight. SOUTHERN BELLE (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at her past three starts and can improve from the pole. Tips: 8 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: MINI MINE YET (5) each way. Race 8 ALTA INTRIGUE (6) is knocking on the door after finishing 2nd in two of his last three starts. He flashed home and just missed here last week and can go one better tonight after drawing inside his main rival. ALICE KAY (7) has ran on well to be placed at her past two starts and is the obvious danger. OUR MISTA KALLE (3) has finished out of the placings at his three starts this time in but has ability and could be an improver from this draw. MY SWEET DEAL (1) hasn’t lived up to her early promise but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 6 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: ALTA INTRIGUE (6) to win. Race 9 BLACK JACK BABY (8) used her blistering gate speed to cross from a wide draw and record an all-the-way victory at her last start and is the one to beat again. ROYAL ESSENCE (1) raced extremely well at the end of her last campaign and must be respected at her resumption for an in-form stable. CAPTAINS BEACHBABE (7) faced the breeze when a solid 3rd to BLACK JACK BABY (8) after defeating that filly at her previous start and must be respected. OUR STAR BILLING (6) finished 2nd at her last start and can be placed again. Tips: 8 1 7 6 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK BABY (8) to win. Race 10 SEVEN NO TRUMPS (1) has been unplaced at his last five starts but has trialled nicely since his last run and should give a great sight from the pole. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (6) was an impressive all-the-way winner here last week and looks a major player despite the wide draw. MAKE YOUR MARK (5) faced the breeze when 3rd in that race and should be right in the finish again. HOPPYS WAY (2) won in slow time at his second race start and is drawn to be get a lovely run in transit. Tips: 1 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: SEVEN NO TRUMPS (1) to win. Market Market
