Scott Embry’s Thursday Bunbury Preview Posted on February 24, 2021February 24, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 HE’S A SIZZLER vs BUSTERS FORCE vs HEAR ME SING is a Saturday clash on a Thursday at Bunbury. HE’S A SIZZLER sat leader’s back on debut and came around heels like the winner before he just missed behind impressive debutante Spin The Knife. They went 4.5L faster than 2 year old average which is blisteringly quick so it should hold up as a form reference and with the cutaway in play he can box seat and give this a big shake. BUSTERS FORCE has been spruiked as the best 2 year old that David Harrison has trained. Big call but whenever he trials at Lark Hill he does look special. HEAR ME SING is going to be winning plenty of races and gets the right run. LA GALEXIA is drawn far better than on debut. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – HE’S A SIZZLER WIN RACE 2 SPECIAL VIEW joins the stables of Hayden Ballantyne and was a nice trial winner when sitting deep and running through the line. This isn’t an overly strong or deep 1200m maiden and see no reason why she can’t break through at her first start for the new stable. WUNDERKIND tried hard first-up and should again be in the finish. COLOUR ME QUICK is getting better with racing and the form looks good with Lincoln’s Law saluting on Sunday. TAKEMEHOMETONIGHT drawn a gate can improve sharply. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – SPECIAL VIEW WIN RACE 3 CHIEF ARCHER is very well placed into this race. First-up winner in a C3 from well back when scoring an impressive win, second-up got too far out of his ground in a C5, third up was a strong winner in a 0MWLY race over Tradensia and ten at his most recent wasn’t far off Downforce in a C3. Gets in well after the claim and from the draw should enjoy the run of the race. UNENDING is a staying mare resuming and her trials have been excellent. Looks in for a good preparation and can sprint well fresh. MIMS WIN is on the fresh side and from the gate does no work. KAZKAZI won well at the latest Albany meeting and this isn’t a whole lot tougher. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – CHIEF ARCHER WIN RACE 4 BAYBIZARRE has been super impressive at her two runs to date for Bronwyn Mathieson. On debut ran third beaten under a length and then improved again at her second start where she probably cost herself the race in the last 150 when running around under pressure. Has proven a strong form reference and if Antique Jewel breaks her duck on Wednesday at Ascot it will read up even better. IT’S A LANCE is fairly one paced and may be looking for further but has been competitive in tougher maidens than this. POWERFUL FORCE comes back in trip but is definitely not racing up to market expectations. Continually going round far shorter than his race form. KAYLANI is a perennial maiden but Megan Midgley has her going career best. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – BAYBIZARRE WIN RACE 5 ELLEVISTA has been a maiden for a while but from the draw she should get every hope in a wide open and very evenly graded affair. Looks like there is about 4L from best to worst and her recent ratings are as strong as any of them. RIP AND SNIP will battle away on speed and may not have handled the ground last start. THE CHASER fought on well last start and gets out in trip which looks to suit. ZINGANO has always looked a stayer in the making. Weak race. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 6 – 10 Suggested Bet – ELLEVISTA EACHWAY RACE 6 AXEL R EIGHT is an easy follow after running them into the ground at his most recent. First 1400m he ran them along 8L faster than average and then still clocked a last 600 which was 1.5L faster than average, he simply ran them ragged and gave nothing else a chance. Mitchell Pateman in front is a recipe for cash and if he gets across without burning too much fuel he’ll again take beating. MAROCCHINO broke through last start and can go on with it now. Lou Luciani tossing up races like the Bunbury Cup means we can expect further improvement. RHYTHM STAR has returned a bigger and better mare. Drawn to do no work and can shoot up the cutaway. QUEEN TAKES KING couldn’t get past Designer Price last start. May have needed the outing but still disappointing on face value. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – AXEL R EIGHT WIN RACE 7 AMERICAN QUEEN was bitterly disappointing last start at Geraldton when sent to the top and not giving a yelp in the run to the post. Thinking she may be better suited taking a sit and so back to the flying 1000, drawn a gate where she can settle midfield and with the cutaway in play, she’s worth forgiving. NOT MY FIGHT has put in two blinders for Darryn Pateman since joining his stables. Only looks a matter of time. CITY CENTRE backs up off 4 days from a high rating C1 behind Blow Me Out. SEA LAKE trialled up very well. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – AMERICAN QUEEN WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 8 FIELD 2,4,5,6,8 1,2,4,5,7 Market Market
