Scott Embry’s Monday Bunbury Preview Posted on January 24, 2020January 24, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview RACE 1 MADAM TORIO was brilliant on debut. Caught deep she continued to work and continued to loom before tiring late. If she has been able to fully recover from that outing she’ll be hard to beat. GRACIENNE looked like a baby with plenty of raw and natural ability. WATCH ME DANCE draws poorly but trialed well enough. MAN OF THE HOUR trialed well with the shades on. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 12 – 2 Suggested Bet – MADAM TORIO WIN RACE 2 FIRE GODDESS has looked handy enough at trials and draws a plumb gate for debut. This is not the strongest maiden line-up and she can play a part. MODERN TIMES was beaten almost 9L last start but the winner was very good and won a Saturday subsequently. GOODBYFEDS chased hard last start and finished off well. PARIS REPORT showed a level of ability in her first campaign. Numbers: 10 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – FIRE GODDESS WIN RACE 3 SANS LE SOU caught the eye on debut when never giving up the chase behind Kitgum. Kitgum has since run well and made the form look bette. From the gate Azzopardi will need an ounce of luck but the filly looks to be above average. I HOPE YOU DANCE ran well two starts ago when arguably a good thing beat. Last start probably zigged when he should have zagged and was relatively luckless. MISS ALIGNED drew off the track last start. MISS QUOTED is racing well. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – SANS LE SOU WIN RACE 4 HUSSTAR ran well at a big price on debut and then backed it up with a solid outing when third behind Ava Express. That galloper has his fair share of ability and this is a weaker race. CONQUERED ZONE has shades added and looks like needing every inch of this trip. QUEEN TAKES KING looks an out and out stayer and might find these even a bit zippy. WHO’S A PRETTY GAL an improver. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 11 – 8 Suggested Bet – HUSSTAR WIN RACE 5 AVA EXPRESS was attacked a long way out last start and was brave when you consider that the horse who attacked him was beaten a furlong. He kept finding and kept fighting and should get a softer lead here. CHANTREA showed nothing at trials to suggest she would win so effortlessly on debut. Draws poorly but if she reproduces then she’ll be very hard to hold out. SCENIC JOURNEY races off speed but has a sustained turn of foot. BLAZEN CAZAH next best. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – AVA EXPRESS WIN RACE 6 HENTY GAL was scratched behind the gates prior to the first-up assignment and has since trialed. The trial at Lark Hill was 55.04 that Olga Louisa clocked and that should have her rock hard fit for this. COCKY DODD disappointed last start but had overcome a few set backs to get to the races. I AM SPARTACUS is about as honest and consistent as they come. DENIM PACK much better placed back into a C3. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – HENTY GAL WIN RACE 7 LADIES OF LONDON raced well first-up at 1000, raced well second-up when getting a split late and only being run down by Tinto Belle and then in an odd race went to the top and disappointed last start. Backing her to rebound. SOLID AZZA was a while between races when resuming and hit the line hard TRAMONTANE looks to have a stack of natural ability but does things wrong. TYCOON MIKADO has to be kept safe, big turn of acceleration. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – LADIES OF LONDON WIN RACE 8 GUNNAGO into a C5 at Bunbury looks excellent placement. He was huge first-up with a big weight when almost running down Flower of War who has won a Saturday since. The last two starts have been far better than they read on paper. Great placement and even with the weight he looks to have a class edge. SWEET DREAMIN’ is a better horse in the care of Holly Locke and W.Pike rides him to perfection. KING OF CHAOS is racing below his best but this is his grade. ICE TRADE got the job done last start but this is a fair bit harder. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – GUNNAGO WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,6 1,2,3,4 1,2,3,6 1,2 Market Market
