The Scout: EPL Matchday 19 Posted on December 24, 2019December 24, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Everton vs Burnley 15th placed Everton play for the first time under newly appointed manger Carlo Ancelotti. After a disappointing season to date, the Toffees will be hoping be hoping for a swift change in fortune. Burnley come into this match 10th on the table, having won back to back matches 1-0. It’s been a great season for the Clarets who have proven they belong in the top flight. At their best, Everton are exciting and can score at will. They boast world class talent, none more so than Richarlison, who on his day is magnificent. The Brazilian has scored three goals in his last five Premier League appearances. With the Toffees playing their first game under a new manager, I’m expecting plenty of energy, and plenty of chances on goal. Richalison is in good form and looks the man most likely here. Suggested Bet: Richarlison Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.60* Chelsea vs Southampton Chelsea (4th) exploded back into form with a 2-0 away win over Tottenham. The result was much needed after two straight losses in the lead-in. 17th placed Southampton are now three points clear of the relegation zone after a massive 3-1 away win over Aston Villa. The win was their third in five games and has them trending in the right direction. Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has implemented a brand of attacking football from day one of his appointment. We might now be seeing the results of this, with the Saints scoring 10 goals in their last six Premier League fixtures. Chelsea have won four of their last six Premier League games at home and are historically hard to beat at Stamford Bridge. They should be too good here, but I’m backing the Saints to get at least one goal on the board – with a big watch on Danny Ings who has a run of seven goals in as many games. Suggested Bet: Chelsea WIN and Both Teams To Score @ $2.60* Sheffield United vs Watford Sheffield United were one of the preseason favourites to be relegated but have defied the critics to find themselves 5th coming into Christmas. Bottom placed Watford are coming off a shock 2-0 win over Manchester United which has breathed new life into their season. The Hornets are still six points away from relegation safety however. Sheffield haven’t fluked their way to 5th, losing just one of their last 11 matches in the Premier League and coming into this clash having won three straight. Defense has been the key for the Blades who have kept clean sheets in back to back games and have conceded just 16 goals all season – good for third best in the League behind only Liverpool and Leicester. Watford have scored just 11 goals in their 18 Premier League games this season, and away from home have failed to find the back of the net on five occasions. Sheffield are playing so good at the moment it’s impossible to tip against them here in what looks the bet of the round. Suggested Bet: Match Result Sheffield United @ $1.80* *Odds correct as at 1.30pm, 24th December 2019. Market Market
