Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 22, 2019August 22, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 AMERICAN DELIGHT (6) is in peak form, winning four of her seven starts this time in and being placed in the other three. She has shown her versatility and is ready for the rise in class. MANDY JOAN (8) had to work too hard in the final lap last start but is racing extremely well and looks the main danger. DELIGHTFULREACTION (12) is a consistent filly and will be running on. YO TE AMO HAITCH (2) broke through for her maiden victory when leading throughout here on Tuesday and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 6 8 12 2 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN DELIGHT (6) to win. Race 2 SPEED MAN (6) was a dominant 14m winner here in slick time before being held up for a run when 4th to King Of Swing last week. This looks a drop in class and he can be driven aggressively if needed tonight. CARTER MICHEAL (4) is back in form after recording consecutive victories at this track and looks the main danger. COURAGE TELLS (2) defeated SPEED MAN (6) three starts back and looks the likely leader here. BETTER SCOOT (10) is racing well but isn’t suited by the backline draw. Tips: 6 4 2 10 Suggested Bet: SPEED MAN (6) to win. Race 3 WILDWEST (11) has created a big impression in winning his four race starts and looks far too good for this field. SON OF A TIGER (6) has won four of his six WA starts including a solid win here last week and looks a great chance for the quinella. PRESIDENTMACH (2) hasn’t had much luck at his last two starts and looks an improver from this draw. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (5) has been placed at five of his past six starts and can be in the money again. Tips: 11 6 2 5 Suggested Bet: WILDWEST (11) to win. Race 4 ONE OFF DELIGHT (3) led throughout to record a dominant win at his first start for a new stable before galloping away from the stand last week. He will race in or near the lead here and should give a great sight. CLARENDEN HUSTLER (6) ran on well at his first start back from a spell and can look to utilise his gatespeed tonight. WAIMAC ATTACK (5) faced the breeze when a strong winner here last week and will make his presence felt again. HEEZ ABOUT TO ROCK (1) doesn’t win too often but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 3 6 5 1 Suggested Bet: ONE OFF DELIGHT (3) to win. Race 5 MAJOR TROJAN (10) is the reigning WA Derby winner and has resumed from a spell with two soft wins. This is a sterner test, particularly from the draw, but his class makes him the one to beat. ELOQUENT MACH (2) has been impressive in recording victories at his three starts this time in, all from stands, and looks the main danger from this draw. CONVERT DENARIO (7) has two wins and a 2nd from his last three starts in good company and looks the other winning chance. DOMINATE THE DOJO (3) looks a place chance from this draw. Tips: 10 2 7 3 Suggested Bet: MAJOR TROJAN (10) to win. Race 6 HANDSANDWHEELS (4) has gone to a new level with two strong wins against similar fields. He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and appeals as the one to beat. VAMPIRO (7) faced the breeze when a strong winner here last week and must be considered despite the wide draw. EL JACKO (6) needs the race run to suit but will be dangerous if there is a hectic early tempo. KING OF SWING (5) has the ability but has a tendency to win when able to find the front and run unplaced when he doesn’t so must be taken on trust. Tips: 4 7 6 5 Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (4) to win. Race 7 JUST ROCK ON BYE (4) was placed at two of her last three starts before a break in stronger company than she meets tonight. She resumes without a trial but is drawn inside her main rivals and should give a great sight. MACZAFFAIR (9) isn’t at her top and has been a beaten favourite at her last four starts but is the class runner. INFINITE SYMBOL (5) is racing consistently and should be in the firing line throughout. CRYSTAL SPARKLES (8) has been impressive in winning her last two starts but is drawn wide tonight. Tips: 4 9 5 8 Suggested Bet: JUST ROCK ON BYE (4) to win. Race 8 THE WAR NURSE (5) is a smart frontrunner who hasn’t been able to take up that role recently. She looks a good chance to cross at the start here and will be hard to catch if that eventuates. SMOLDERING ASHES (3) is racing consistently and should be right in the finish from this draw. BAD ROUND (1) looked desperately unlucky when held up here last week and looks a major player from the pole. BOB WHEEL (9) was enormous when 2nd to Speed Man at his last start but has a wide draw to overcome. Tips: 5 3 1 9 Suggested Bet: THE WAR NURSE (5) to win. Race 9 SPACE JUNK (8) hasn’t returned in the same form as he displayed last time in but drops in class for this assignment and should prove hard to beat. ROCK ME OVER (2) has been placed at his past four starts and looks the main danger from his perfect draw. SHE COULD BE GOOD (7) has finished strongly to be placed at her past three starts and a similar showing can be expected tonight. BELTANE (10) is better suited racing on the speed but can play a part if the race is run to suit. Tips: 8 2 7 10 Suggested Bet: SPACE JUNK (8) to win. Race 10 STARFROMTHEPALACE (7) has been battling bad draws but has run on to be placed at her last three starts. She will be suited when there is a stronger early tempo and could get that scenario tonight. REMIT ME WHITBY (5) has impressed when leading throughout at her last two starts and will be hard to catch if she finds the top. DISSERTATION (6) has led throughout at his last three starts but is unlikely to find the front here. POCKET THE CASH (3) has been placed at his last five starts and should be thereabouts again from this draw. Tips: 7 5 6 3 Suggested Bet: STARFROMTHEPALACE (7) each way. Market Market
