Race 1

LADY DE LA RENTA (1) was an impressive winner three starts back and was set to finish 1st or 2nd when she locked wheels here last week. This field is collectively stronger but she has the pole and should give a great sight. SAYING GRACE (7) has been forced to face the breeze over the staying trip at both starts this campaign and hasn’t been disgraced in either. GOLDEN STATE (6) has battled bad draws at his past two starts but may go forward at the start here. CHIAROSCURO (8) flashed home last week and must be considered.

Suggested Bet: GOLDEN STATE (6) each way.

Race 2

MAD ROBBER (1) led and was nabbed on the line at his first start in the state and chased hard when a solid 3rd to Bechers Brook here last start. He has drawn the pole tonight and is clearly the one to beat on last week’s effort. DOMINATE THE DOJO (3) has hit peak form and his exceptional gate speed could make things interesting early. ZOZO MA GOGO (5) led throughout at her only start in the state but is drawn outside a couple of quick beginners tonight. IDEAL ONE (7) drops in class and could be a big improver here.

Race 3

MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (2) was crossed by the speedy Thereugo last week when 2nd to that pacer to bring up his third placing from his last four starts. He is well drawn again and gets his chance to bounce back into the winners’ circle. CRYSTAL SPARKLES (6) led throughout at this track before battling on well when 3rd to Thereugo after breezing last week and looks the main danger. LIVURA (4) has been disappointing but is always dangerous with the right run. CHARLIE EL (1) is perfectly drawn to be a good place chance.

Suggested Bet: MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (2) to win.

Race 4

THE WAR NURSE (2) has won five of her last seven starts, mostly from leading. She worked too hard when finishing at the rear last start but looks to get an easy lead tonight and will be very hard to catch. INFINITE SYMBOL (3) disappointed when 4th here last week but has the hood added and could improve sharply. CAPTURED DELIGHT (6) has been placed at her past three starts and should be in the money again. LIL CHINA DOLL (4) has been runner-up at her last three starts in easier company and can play a part.

Suggested Bet: THE WAR NURSE (2) to win.

Race 5

CAMPORA (1) lacks the class of most of his rivals but is a very hard to horse to beat when he leads. He should hold up from the pole and should set a time that will see him give a great sight. VULTAN TIN (4) looked sharper last week and made Chicago Bull fully extend and can control this race from the breeze. MY HARD COPY (8) is first-up without a trial but is simply too good to overlook. MACZAFFAIR (10) is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and can be placed.

Suggested Bet: CAMPORA (1) to win.

Race 6

BECHERS BROOK (2) raced up to his potential when facing the breeze and recording a strong win here last week. This looks tougher but he is drawn inside his main rival and should prove hard to beat. MIGHTY SANTANA (6) was a strong winner here two starts back before finishing a close-up 4th to Lady De La Renta and is the obvious danger. COME DANCE WITH ME (7) won a mares’ event last week and can play a part against the boys here. THE TRILOGY (9) ran into the money at huge odds last week and can repeat that effort.

Suggested Bet: BECHERS BROOK (2) to win.

Race 7

IDEAL LINER (4) has been ultra-impressive at four of his five starts this campaign and shouldn’t have too much trouble accounting for this field. SCOTLYNN BEACH (1) finished 4th to IDEAL LINER (4) last start and looks a great chance to finish 2nd to that pacer from the pole. FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (2) was a strong last start winner in easier company and should be thereabouts from this draw. ATHABASCAN (3) has finished just behind the placegetters at his past two starts and shouldn’t be far away again.

Suggested Bet: IDEAL LINER (4) to win.

Race 8

CAVIAR STAR (12) ran on well to finish 2nd to Tact Major in 1.53.2 over the sprint trip last week. He starts from the 40m handicap tonight but has shown good form in stands in the past and should be right in the finish. BETTOR NOT BITTER (8) has won his last two starts, both from the stand, and has the handicap advantage over his main rivals. SPEED MAN (11) couldn’t get into the race last week but his previous form is good enough for a race of this nature. SPACE JUNK (4) disappointed first-up but has trialled nicely and looks a player here.

Tips: 12 8 11 4

Suggested Bet: CAVIAR STAR (12) to win.

Race 9

ROBB STARK (9) was a good winner here two starts back before he couldn’t make ground in a quick last half behind Ideal Liner. This is a significant drop in class and he can overcome the wide draw. ONE OFF DELIGHT (1) is out of form and has been unplaced at his past seven starts but could be a big improver from the pole. CONVERT DENARIO (2) has won his last two starts in easier company and looks ready for this harder assignment. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (4) led when a game 2nd here last week and shouldn’t be far away.

Tips: 9 1 2 4

Suggested Bet: ROBB STARK (9) to win.

Race 10

KNOW WHEN TO RUN (1) was enormous last week when he was checked early and settled at the rear before running on strongly to finish 2nd to Gee Jay Kay. He is drawn the pole tonight and looks the one to beat. ITS ROCK AND ROLL (2) was a strong 2nd to THEO AVIATOR (5) last start and should be right in the thick of the action from this draw. THEO AVIATOR (5) led throughout to beat a similar field last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (6) has plenty of ability but is drawn poorly.

Suggested Bet: KNOW WHEN TO RUN (1) to win.

Race 11

SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (6) has chased home LORD LIAM (7) when 2nd to that trotter at his last two starts. He is drawn inside his main rival tonight and can turn the tables. LORD LIAM (7) is in peak form with three consecutive victories and must be respected again. SUN OF ANARCHY (8) has been placed at 14 of his past 15 starts and should be in the money again. TENNO SHO (5) is drawn inside the class trio of this race and can play a part.

Tips: 6 7 8 5
