The Scout: FA Cup Final Posted on May 16, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Manchester City vs Watford 19th May, 12am WST The recently crowned Premier League champions come up against a plucky Watford side whose poor finish to the season left them 11th in the domestic league. Despite City’s dominance in the Premier League (14 straight wins to end the season), their FA Cup form has only been so-so. They had a lucky win over Swansea in the quarter-finals, sneaking home 3-2 after being down 2-0 at halftime, and were uncharacteristically sloppy in their 1-0 semi-final win over Brighton. Watford earned their place in the Final with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals before a 94th minute Troy Deeney penalty gave them a 3-2 advantage in a thriller with Wolves. In what will be their first FA Cup Final since 1984, the Hornets are close to full strength and come into the match with nothing to lose – always a dangerous prospect in a match like this. Before their four goal blitz, City conceded the opening goal against Brighton in their biggest game of the season. Watford will look to repeat the dose, coming out hard and fast early in an attempt to get one past this City defense before they’ve had time to settle. Watford has scored at least once in every FA Cup game so far, and with a strike force led by Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu I see them scoring, either early as mentioned, or late in what could be nothing more than a consolation. Manchester City have superstars across the board, but no player has a better resume in big games than Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian striker, and City’s all-time leading scorer, is in ominous form and looks ripe for a day out here. Suggested Bet: Both Teams To Score @ $2.05* Suggested Bet: Sergio Aguero First Goalscorer @ $3.60* *Odds correct as at 11.25am WST 16th May 2019. Market Market
