Scott Embry’s Saturday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 23, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 GOLDEN BONNEY has shown a level of ability and really does look a mare who needs a trip. Got beaten a long way at Geraldon first-up at 1200 and should be suited over further. Eachway speculation. PRO FESSIONAL is a big long legged grey who looks a stayer in the making. Will be there a long way. ENCENDIO has been very disappointing so far this preparation but this race lacks depth. YUKON GOLD looks like breaking through eventually. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – GOLDEN BONNEY EACHWAY Race 2 SLICED BREAD has blinkers on and draws a gate to lead. If you watch the emphatic trial victory at Lark Hill on November 5th he was wearing the shades and was ultra impressive. They were not on for his race debut, can run them into the ground. SHAFTO LANE was good first-up and will likely open favourite. Definitely the one to beat and the only danger. DASHING IMAGE fresh can run a reasonable race. BRICKIE’S GOLD trialed really well for his debut and could open a price. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – SLICED BREAD WIN Race 3 CRANKY DANCER has been a brilliant old war horse in the region. 54th start in Geraldton and looks like he is ready to notch another win in the very near future. Hit the line powerfully last start and will charge late again. TIRRENO will find this a stack easier than his most recent in a strong edition of the Road to Ascot heats at Northam. BARAKI BEATS is consistent and going well for his new connections. Loss of Peta Edwards may be under-estimated. AUDIENCE is capable of pulling out a run fresh. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – CRANKY DANCER WIN Race 4 TRADEMARK has had his fair share of issues but if he is fit and ready first-up can give this a shake. Hit form towards the end of last preparation and drawn a gate to sit close handy. Proven weight carrier. REBOW has a bit of Kepler Bradley about him. Cult following, blessed with natural ability but taking a bit of time to put it all together. #kokotajlodurrantelectra trends if he wins. HALLDORA had one start at Geraldton earlier and was effectively left in the gates. Previous form sound. BEHROOZ could pull out a run soon. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – TRADEMARK Race 5 FREEZ’EMOFF was a brilliant last to first winner fresh and then a shade disappointing on face value at her second start this preparation. Should be winning a fair few throughout the preparation if she can hold form. LORENTINIO is a new addition to the region and a relatively expensive dispersal sale purchase. He has the hallmarks of a quality Geraldton commodity. Speed and toughness. PEARL GIRL would have been a good thing beat last start and gets another wonderful chance to make it three wins from five starts. HOT STAR is going well without a lot of luck. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – FREEZ’EMOFF EACHWAY Race 6 AMALIEMOO should be ready to fire fifth up from a spell. Senior rider remains aboard and most recent effort was good enough in probably stronger company to suggest that she can win here. VAN ISLAND has been tramping wide and drawn woefully again. Ready to win one if he can get some luck. SADLER’S HILLS has some more gear changes to try and straighten him up. Tends to wobble around. STANDUP’N’DELIVER is just about ready and draws soft. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – AMALIEMOO WIN Race 7 NATURAL LUCK is easy to follow in the run, the grey should get a nice run midfield from the gate and does his best when he can get cover and be saved for one crack at them. Like the way he’s gone at both runs this preparation. PARADINI broke back into the winner’s circle last start. She’s the one to beat here. DIAMOND JOLSON got away with it in front last start, may look to cross them again and run. NON OF THAT has poor fresh form but if you can over look that would be right in the mix. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – NATURAL LUCK WIN Race 8 TAKE NO PRISIONERS was very impressive at a 1920m race at York last start. He is a tough one to follow as he has only won a weak maiden from 29 starts but they ran really good time in York and Black Smuggler made the form look reasonable on Wednesday. COOL WITNESS comes from that same race and if he was able to hold up from the inside could give cheek at odds. FORTUNE MAKER bolted in a weak maiden and looks like he is going to eat up the ground. FLAMING PRO is ready. He draws a gate and if he can see out the trip will be tough to hold out. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – TAKE NO PRISIONERS EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,3,5,6,10 1,2,5,6 3,5,6,8 2,3,5,8,9 Market Market
