Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on October 30, 2018October 31, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 NICCONI’S BOY backs up off 7 days from a reasonable run last week. There is not a lot of speed in this field and Parnham should have him placed prominently. Stable is currently producing winners off 7 days for fun. RED SNITZ has drawn a gate to sit closer to the speed than he has at his first two starts this preparation. Looks likely to get the right run in an even race. MAGICAL CHARM needs this trip and beyond. Reasonable effort in an unsuitable race first-up. QUIET WHIPER could be a sharp improver out to the trip on speed. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – NICCONI’S BOY WIN Race 2 EUPHONIOUS showed first-up that she can hold a spot close enough to the speed. With the rail at 12m she wouldn’t want to let them get too far in front but closing effort was excellent in a nice form race. STARES ANDWHISPERS looks set to burn along in front. She is obviously a quirky animal but has ability. SASSATIONAL draws a gate to sit outside the lead and was a nice trial. STORMY ORA has a maiden in her soon but is drawn horribly. Numbers: 11 – 10 – 13 – 4 Suggested Bet – EUPHONIOUS WIN Race 3 DAM READY is simply a hard track horse. Can’t go an inch on any rain affect surfaces and connections elected to trial him in between races where he was never tested. Marches deep but can definitely win. VITAL DANCER should find the front and after the claim is very well in. Jumps and runs fresh every prep. SLIK SAM comes from a strong form race in far tougher company but is a slight query at the trip. FINAL HEARING will be flying late. He is probably looking for further but can’t fault his form. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – DAM READY EACHWAY Race 4 SOY TAN RAPIDO gets another wonderful chance with the rail out on a track where they should kick into the bend and pinch a vital length or two. Finds the front and will be very hard to catch. PEARL GIRL looks very promising. She will be rattling late, worth following. THE PEN likely comes across from an awkward gate and sits in the breeze. Won well last start. BOSS STRIKER could not have been more impressive at his return to WA. Numbers: 8 – 11 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – SOY TAN RAPIDO WIN Race 5 UNIKAT backs up off 7 days and gets Tayla Stone aboard who may just be the new number 1 rider at McAullife’s stables with the way she is riding at the minute. Jumps to the front and will run them along. BLACKWOOD RIVER was given every possible chance by Harvey last start. He will be short but is the one to beat. ADMIRAL PROMO can charge late off from back in the field. PRECIOUS CARGO should get a soft run and get off the fence when they kick for home. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – UNIKAT WIN Race 6 PRESS THE PETAL normally sprints well fresh at the start of a campaign and the 1800m almost looks her pet distance. Should get a nice run midfield and as long as they leaders don’t get away on the corner she looks capable of gunning them down. JAMIE’S LINC has been going brilliantly of late. Last two runs huge. ROJO CALOR should find the front and dictate terms. Hard to run down. POINT will be breaking through in this grade soon. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – PRESS THE PETAL WIN Race 7 THE BIG SHOW was brave last week. He lead them up at a strong tempo and was only collared right on the line. Tayla Stone got a feel for him and backing up off 7 days in a race without a lot of speed he should control and go close to leading all the way. BURGER TIME is going great this preparation and if he can shoulder his way clear coming into the corner he is the danger. LENNON’S SONG has hit form and she does look a stayer in the making. DOLUSKY deserves to break through this preparation, four good runs. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – THE BIG SHOW WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 5,6,8,11 1,2,3 4,5,9 1,3,5,9 Market Market
