Scott Embry’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on June 19, 2018June 19, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BARON BOSTOCK trialed very well for his debut and was found wanting behind the speedy filly Market Ruler. That form is as good as any currently so willing to give him another chance. NICKLE QUEEN put the writing on the wall at trials and sat outside Smart Fox and put it to the sword quickly turning for home. Should lead them here. MORGS FREEMAN was the target of strong late support on debut and went well when wide the trip. ANGELIC RULER charged home on debut behind Ngawi and trialed well for her return. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – BARON BOSTOCK EACHWAY Race 2 DICKOLETTO raced wide throughout and looked around in the home straight when eased out of it. He is very green and one of the most awkward movers in the State but could well find the front for Pike and can improve sharply. HEART OF COEUR went close last week and should find a lovely spot midfield. ANCIENT HOPE gets back in the run but will find this easier than her most recent Saturday race. PORTALIAN may be better suited ridden cold from the gate. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – DICKOLETTO WIN Race 3 GROOVERSHAKER is clearly a work in progress. He is becoming more and more tractable and this is no tougher than maiden class. FINANCE has a number of gear changes made after laying inwards throughout last start. Was held up at crucial stages and should get the good going out deep in the straight. BURNING MAGIC is ultra consistent, doesn’t run bad races but also doesn’t win races out of turn. TOW ROPE slides forward to lead or sit outside the leader, he is honest enough but lacks a killer turn of foot. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – GROOVERSHAKER WIN Race 4 MULTIVERSE was big first-up last preparation lumping 59kg. Gets in with a winnable 57.5 here and if they’re swooping down the outside like the last two Wednesday’s then she’ll be in the right spot. STRATOCREED doesn’t run a bad race and Jason Brown should find the fence. NASHVILLE CAT wound up nicely down the straight and will improve with the distance increase. MISS SWINDLE is bursting to win another race, just drawn awkwardly. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – MULTIVERSE EACHWAY Race 5 OREGON BRONZE was big first-up when tramping three and four deep the trip. Made a mends for it second-up winning well. This is not a lot harder and if she can slot in from the awkward draw goes close. BONNY BE GOOD resumed down the straight, she will appreciate behind back around a bend and if she can recapture her form of 12 months ago where she knocked off the likes of Caipirinha, she would be hard to beat. THE GOSPEL SIN has been fair this preparation and senior rider goes on. TURBO POWER is better than what he showed first-up. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – OREGON BRONZE EACHWAY Race 6 FLOWER OF SCOTLAND was a query at the 1000m fresh, let alone down the straight and she went extremely well. Can slide across from the awkward gate or snag back if they’re swooping. Versatile type who should go close. SENSO drops into his most winnable race of the preparation and has been going well in far tougher. May appreciate being ridden cold. NIGHT VOYAGE is a cover only commodity. Never goes a yard when left in front. Eye catching last start. TAKE IT LIKE A MAN should get the soft run he needs to be right in the finish. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – FLOWER OF SCOTLAND EACHWAY Race 7 TRIPLE EXPRESS was unleashed at the 800 last start and loomed into the race four and five deep before fading. All things considered a fairly good effort and she’ll pinch a winter staying race this preparation. SOULSANA comes straight from a strong maiden win and looks a stayer in the making. HALUSHI is probably needing one more and looks destined to be crossed but when he draws to lead he’ll give a lot of cheek. SMALLAMOUNTOFMERIT gets back and runs on every week. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRIPLE EXPRESS EACHWAY Race 8 MIDNIGHT SKY comes from a very strong form reference race with Keeper’s Son & Mrs Browns Boy winning their next assignment. By this stage the winners will be coming out very deep on the track and that looks perfect for her. REEF KEEPER is a nice type resuming for a new stable. He should bounce straight to the top and will go well over further. SCORELINE has found a length or two since Tayla Stone jumped into the saddle and should be there abouts. SAINT STEPHEN needs things to go his way but is racing well. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 12 Suggested Bet – MIDNIGHT SKY WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,7 1,2,4,5,7,8 1,3,6,8,12 1 Bet Now
