Race 1

THE TUBBY BUTCHER has always threatened to win a maiden if he was allowed to roll infront. TIP AND RUN is getting mighty close to breaking through. MISS MERIT comes from a strong punting stable, so wait for the money. SOBRERO is normally there abouts.

Race 2

NOBEL SUSPECT has had his fair share of chances but on paper this looks a good race. RELEASE THE SAX is consistent and should find a nice spot. TRANSITIONAL has been well supported his past few runs. SPORTHOUSE DREAM arguably has the best form but a horror gate to contend with.

Numbers: 5 – 9 – 8 – 12

Race 3

SWIFT SIS is a model of consistency and should go close to winning again. OMERTA looks the logical danger on paper. ANOTHER DEMON has speed to burn and could lead them up. SCOTTY TOO HOTTY is mixing his form and tough to follow.

Race 4

MAKURU produced two booming wins before testing the waters at a mile. Back to 1400m looks very suitable. UNIVERSAL MAE is in career best form and should box seat from the gate. GRADUAL INCLINE is always there abouts in this grade. CHHAYA is hard to catch but has a handy short sharp sprint.

STOCKYARD GOSSIP has been knocking on the door in the provincials and gets her best chance so far this preparation. UNDETERRED showed above average ability as a juvenile but has been off the boil for a while. CASH MACHINE should enjoy the run of the race. THUG LIFE was very strong at his most recent.

Race 6

VIKING FORREST lumps a big weight but has been contesting far tougher assignments than this of recent times. SENORITA BONITA has strung together 5 on the bounce and has to be respected. HAPPY HARRY returned below his best. CEE I AY next best.

Race 7

SCOONER was a strong last start winner in a race which has already produced two subsequent winners. On the minimum, if he travels well enough must be hard to roll. SOMEDAY ONE DAY was enormous last start and punters will be hoping for a salute. ON THE ROPES won this race last year and sneaks under the radar. GET ROUND IT should be there a long way.

Race 8

MUDLODE has been a frustrating horse for followers this preparation but gets another chance here. HE SAID SHE SAID would give cheek if he could find the front. CAROB is hard to catch but talented enough when right. WONORG is a big class dropper drawn perfectly.
