Deane’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on February 16, 2018 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 3 NO. 6 SHARING SHARING has enjoyed a stellar summer campaign for the Enver Jusufovic stable and looks the one to beat again when she contests the TCL TV Handicap (1400m). The six year old was a dominant winner over 1400 metres at Flemington on January 13 before a brave second behind the in-form JESTER HALO over 1400 metres at Caulfield on January 27. She is drawn for a cheap run and appears ideally placed to produce another bold showing. RACE 7 NO. 13 PEACEFUL STATE Exciting three year old PEACEFUL STATE takes his next step up in class when he runs in the C.S Hayes Stakes (1400m) but looks ready for the challenge and can win again. The son of Animal Kingdom produced an outstanding sustained gallop to win first-up against older horses over 1300 metres at Sandown on February 7. He will be improved by that outing and, importantly, he has drawn well in barrier three which should allow in-form rider Ben Allen to ride him much closer to the speed this time. He is on an Australian Guineas path and confirm his high standing for that race with a win here. RACE 8 NO. 1 REDZEL REDZEL is Australia’s best sprinter at present so there’s no reason to tip against him when he runs in the Black Caviar Lightning (1000m). The Peter and Paul Snowden trained gelding finished his last campaign with wins in the $10 million Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 14 before a comprehensive win in the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m) at Flemington on November 11. He has trialled well for his return to racing and has a fine record down the straight. He is ideally drawn to fly down the straight and make it seven wins on end.
