Scott’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on August 31, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 KIA ORA STAR is extremely well related and while 1200m is potentially on the shorter side his recent trial suggested he will give a strong account on debut. BELLFLOWER was caught wide throughout first-up, big effort. ANDALUZ might sneak under the radar, handy enough trial. BLOOMY’S SON looks like a miler who will appreciate the anticipated speed battle. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – KIA ORA STAR WIN Race 2 DEBELLATIO was bitterly disappointing first-up without a trial. Taking fitness from that run he should be closer to the mark here. REVELLIONAIRE is an exciting proposition on the rise. LOB CITY gets back and runs on. He probably needs more pace on up front than expected. LAUFEY was a strong first-up victor over a subsequent winner. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – DEBELLATIO WIN Race 3 EPIC GREY should stalk the speed and as long as the leaders don’t get away with it cheaply he will be hard to hold out. SATURIA got the better of Epic Grey on debut and will be looking to find the fence. COLOUR WITNESS did a lot of things wrong in the same race. Looks to have undeniable ability. CARESS YOUR SOUL will likely be ridden with a sit again owing to the hot tempo drawn underneath. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – EPIC GREY WIN Race 4 YOUNG GINA tasted defeat for the first time in his career when three wide throughout. Blinkers on and Pike into the saddle, expect him to go back from the wide gate and charge. ATLANTA BLUE was strong in the same race last time out. PRIZE CATCH is a query back sharply in trip. INVINCIBLE WARRIOR goes forward to find a prominent position in running. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – YOUNG GINA WIN Race 5 PINZU was enormous first-up when savaging the line. His second-up record is excellent and if he reproduces he goes mighty close. FLYING ROAR has strung together two very eye-catching performances. GREY ENIGMA fresh off a soft run from barrier 1 could be a blowout. JUICING CARROTS has an exciting X-Factor about him. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – PINZU WIN Race 6 SHINTA MANI has been racing upside down on the speed. She is extremely well weighted for this assignment and ridden cold she can zap them. CHARLESTOWN with a postage stamp weight should slide forwards into a nice spot. THE FORGOTTEN ONE rises sharply in weights, expect him to box-seat. JETOOMY will appreciate Lucy back aboard. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – SHINTA MANI WIN Race 7 ELEGANT BLAST will appreciate the weight relief she gets here. Off a soft run from barrier 2 she has a short sharp sprint capable of running over most of these. DUSTY STORM will need to get across from a wide gate. Does his best work on speed. GINGER NINJA has been held up at crucial stages his past three, barrier 1 is awkward again. COUGAR NIGHTS loomed the winner last start. Numbers: 10 – 9 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – ELEGANT BLAST WIN Race 8 TAXAGANO was a booming winner dropping out of Listed and Group 3 year old company. This race looks right up his alley to make it two on the bounce. REEF KEEPER was allowed to lead and dictate last start, expecting similar here. WITNESS IN COURT is flying but he will have to go back and circle the field. IN THIS LIFE is another who needs the pace on. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – TAXAGANO WIN SuperPick - Race 8 No. 2 TAXAGANO - Win Boost Quaddie (Race 5-8) 2,3,6,7,8,10 1,4,5,7 1,2,3,6,9,10,11 2,6 Bet Now
