Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 16, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: TABTOUCH MS PACE CHALLENGING (1) ran on well for a solid 2nd before leading throughout for a comfortable win last start. He is up in class tonight but looks like getting an easy lead again and is the one to beat. QUESTIONABLE GESTURE (12) has been racing better since he has been driven tougher and was a good winner from the breeze last start and can overcome the draw. THE STORM CHIEF (6) will be running on and is a winning chance if they happen to go hard. ESTOCADA (5) has been outsprinted at his last two but was a good winner three starts back. Tips: 1 12 6 5 Suggested Bet: CHALLENGING (1) to win. Race 2: CHECK IN WITH TABTOUCH WESTBRED MS PACE NEW WORLD ORDER (5) isn’t the most reliable horse but he clearly has the most ability in this field. He looked the winner but seemed to pull up when beaten by Sir Slick before leading throughout in good time and should win this if he stays focussed. SOHO WALL STREET (2) has been battling bad draws and should enjoy a more favourable trip from this barrier. MACHRIHANISH (7) now has to be driven cold but will be running on again. TANAKA EAGLE (1) won a stand on Tuesday and has the gate speed to lead if desired. Tips: 5 2 7 1 Suggested Bet: NEW WORLD ORDER (5) to win. Race 3: THE SPORTS DAILY MS PACE RED HOT MAJOR (8) finished his last campaign with creditable performances behind Beaudiene Boaz in the 4YO Classics. He finished midfield when resuming from a spell but they sprinted home in 54.8 and he couldn’t make ground on that occasion and this looks easier. SHES TURBO CHARGED (1) was well commissioned at odds last week and looked unlucky and is set to play a part from the pole tonight. SHES ARTFUL (2) is racing consistently and will give them something to catch if she can find the top. SKY ART (10) hasn’t won for a while but should get a soft run in transit. Tips: 8 1 2 10 Suggested Bet: RED HOT MAJOR (8) to win. Race 4: WESTRAL OUTDOOR PATIO BLINDS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE ARGYLE RED (1) has won two of his last three in great fashion and looks a huge chance from the pole. He hasn’t performed at his best when leading in the past but seems to be racing a lot stronger currently. GAZ WANNABET (12) has hit peak form with two strong wins but has a back line draw to overcome. EL HOMBRE (2) has been racing well from wide draws and will appreciate a better barrier tonight. BOUNTY EYRE (10) worked too hard last start and will enjoy a softer run here. Tips: 1 12 2 10 Suggested Bet: GAZ WANNABET (12) each way. Race 5: TABTOUCH – THE BRAND THAT FUNDS THE INDUSTRY THE LEWIS QUALIFYING HEAT 3 MS PACE PAY ME CULLEN (3) was a brilliant all the way winner three starts back and his two subsequent efforts have been sound. He looks a good chance to bully his way to the top and would be hard to run down if that eventuates. BETTOR OFFER (6) has been racing in stronger company and has the strength to breeze and be in the finish. CUT FOR AN ACE (10) has won his last two in stands but is up to this with the right run in transit. WE TELLTHETRUTH (5) has gate speed and would give them something to catch if he crosses. Tips: 3 6 10 5 Suggested Bet: PAY ME CULLEN (3) to win. Race 6: RWWA CUP MS PACE OUR JIMMY JOHSTONE (8) performed well during the Inters series culminating in a good 3rd in the Consolation. He is first up after a month off tonight but is a drawn inside his main rival and should give a sight. IM FULL OF EXCUSES (9) has won 8 of his last 9 and was a strong winner of the Northam Cup at his last run and is the obvious danger. BRONZE SEEKER (7) and LISHARRY (5) both need a bit of luck in these events but both are racing well and can win with the right trip. Tips: 8 9 7 5 Suggested Bet: OUR JIMMY JOHSTONE (8) to win. Race 7: CADUCEUS CLUB CLASSIC MS PACE IM ROCKARIA (7) has proven to be one of the state’s best colts and looks hard to beat in a weaker than usual Caduceus Club Classic. He was a solid 5th in a heat of the Victorian Derby at Melton before narrowly winning a weak Albury event and is the one to beat. MACZAFFAIR (10) is the state’s best filly and could beat the boys with luck from this draw. ROCK DIAMONDS (9) won seven straight before disappointing last start but has had a month between runs and can bounce back. LORD WILLOUGHBY (1) is no star but looks the early leader and can play a part. Tips: 7 10 9 1 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (10) each way. Race 8: JOIN THE CADUCEUS CLUB TODAY MS PACE BUNGALOW BILL (6) won a weak event at Albany before working hard when a strong 2nd to Franco Rayner last week. He is drawn the widest of the main chance but should still be hard to beat. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (3) settled back in the field before running a good 3rd in the same race and can utilise his barrier advantage. OUR REGAL IDEAL (1) had a nice run when 2nd to American boy last start and can hold up from the pole. VANQUISHED (5) handled himself well against the state’s best 4YO’s and is a chance. Tips: 6 3 1 5 Suggested Bet: BUNGALOW BILL (6) to win. Race 9: CADUCEUS CLUB AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE SUPERIMPOSED (10) was a solid 2nd to Talktomeurmattjesty at Bunbury last start and has a nice turn of foot if he has any luck from an awkward draw. BRILLIANT SUNSHINE (1) hasn’t had much luck recently despite starting from good barriers but can improve. BEBRAVE (2) would be a big hope if he could find the top and has drawn nicely. SCOOBYS DELIGHT (5) was a good 2nd to Ideal Tyson last start but is unlikely to find the front here. Tips: 10 1 2 5 Suggested Bet: SUPERIMPOSED (10) each way. Race 10: WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU MS PACE ALL ABOUT PINK (1) is one dimensional in that she must lead over a sprint trip to show her best and gets that chance tonight. She led throughout in 1.54.5 at Bunbury four starts back and anything like that will prove hard to catch here. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (7) crosses the Nullabor with good Victorian form and should win races in WA. BETTA GO BOLT (10) is drawn to get a nice run and drops in class for this. FRANCO JOAQUIN (4) isn’t normally far away but doesn’t win too often. Tips: 1 7 10 4 Suggested Bet: ALL ABOUT PINK (1) to win. Bet Now!
