Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 9, 2017February 9, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: WESTRAL ROLLER BLINDS MS PACE MCCLINCHIE (10) is yet to finish further back than 2nd in ten WA runs and should be in the finish again. He has won his last two comfortably against inferior company at Albany but he did beat Ideal Tyson four starts back which reads well for this assignment. THE STORM CHIEF (3) and ARGYLE RED (4) are both consistent sit-sprinters and both are huge winning chances with the right runs. JILLIBY COURAGE (1) resumes from a spell without a trial but looks the leader and will give them something to catch over the sprint trip. Tips: 10 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: MCCLINCHIE (10) to win. Race 2: WESTRAL SECURITY DOORS & SCREENS PACE IROCKMYWORLD (1) did a power of work in the last circuit when a game 2nd to Soho Chelsea here last week. He isn’t the quickest beginner but did lead throughout from this barrier four runs back and will be the one to beat if he holds up. JAMES GALLEON (2) was disappointing last week but would be right in this on his previous run. GAZ WANNABET (3) was a good stand winner on Tuesday and must be respected. OUR GAMMA LADY (6) weakened from the breeze last week but is a winning chance with a better run in transit. Tips: 1 2 3 6 Suggested Bet: IROCKMYWORLD (1) to win. Race 3: WESTRAL TIMBER BLINDS MS PACE HEZ THE ARTISAN (1) has only won one of his last 70 starts and that was at Williams over a year ago. That is not a great recommendation but he is racing soundly and should give a sight tonight. MANTOMAN (3) is racing consistently but looks the likely breeze horse again. LITTLE ASTRO BOY (10) has a lot more upside than his two main rivals and will be hard to beat if he sees daylight in the last lap. HEZ THE JAZZ MAN (5) was a very good 5th last week and is drawn better tonight. Tips: 1 3 10 5 Suggested Bet: HEZ THE ARTISAN (1) to win. Race 4: WESTRAL OUTDOOR PATIO BLINDS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE CUT FOR AN ACE (3) ended a losing sequence of 40 with an impressive all the way win in a Bunbury stand and is a good chance to make it two in a row. MAJOR RUSH (8) won a similar event to this two starts back and then backed up with a good 2nd in a fast class mobile last week and must be respected. PAY ME CULLEN (6) is racing extremely well but isn’t the most reliable beginner and is drawn wide. IMPORTER EXPORTER (5) blew the start at his most recent run but can fly the tapes and would give them something to catch if led. Tips: 3 8 6 5 Suggested Bet: CUT FOR AN ACE (3) to win. Race 5: WESTRAL VERTICAL AND PANEL BLINDS MS PACE AMERICAN BOY (9) was a strong winner in a small but select field last week after facing the breeze. This represents a drop in class and he can make an early move and assert his authority. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (8) has been racing well and will be suited by the small field. JUNGLE JEWEL (6) is a nice sit-sprint mare who will be finishing strongly. LAGOON STRIDE (1) is the early leader and will give cheek if left alone in front. Tips: 9 8 6 1 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN BOY (9) to win. Race 6: WESTRAL VENETIAN AND HONEYCOMB BLINDS MS PACE MAJOR REALITY (9) disappointed in the Pacing Cup but bounced back against her own sex when sprinting brilliantly to record a dominant win. She takes on the boys from a wide draw but this is not a strong Free For All and she is the one to beat. BRONZE SEEKER (7) led throughout to win a similar race last week but is capable from behind. CONDRIEU (2) would win this at his best but resumes from an unsuccessful NSW campaign and hasn’t been seen in trials. RED SALUTE (1) grows a leg on the pegs and should be a big improver. Tips: 9 7 2 1 Suggested Bet: MAJOR REALITY (9) to win. Race 7: WESTRAL DAINTYS DAUGHTER CLASSIC LADY LUCA (1) is a very consistent filly who is probably just a rung below the state’s best. She has the pole however and should give a great sight in what is a very even group of fillies. MACZAFFAIR (9) is probably the best horse in the field but has a horror draw to overcome. SARAH GOODY (10) had to work too hard last start but she should enjoy a nice run here and is an each way chance. SOHO ANGEL (7) is the interesting runner as she crosses the Nullabor with good Victorian form and must be respected. Tips: 1 9 10 7 Suggested Bet: SARAH GOODY (10) each way. Race 8: WESTRAL PLANTATION TIMBER SHUTTERS THE LEWIS QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE FRANCO RAYNER (1) led throughout to win in 1.56.0 over this trip before repeating the dose in 1.53.4 over the 1730m. He then drew wide and ran down the track in The Nights Of Thunder Final but is perfectly drawn here and will take a lot of catching. BUNGALOW BILL (8) has plenty of ability and won in quick time last start but is drawn poorly. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (7) also has a tough barrier but is racing well and shouldn’t be far away. ATLASTALONE (3) beat American Boy two starts back and can be in the money. Tips: 1 8 7 3 Suggested Bet: FRANCO RAYNER (1) to win. Race 9: WESTRAL CRIMSAFE SECURITY DOORS WESTBRED MS PACE MISTER VERSACE (8) was a good winner over MILITARY MASTER (7) before facing the breeze and running a strong 3rd to Persistent Threat last week. He is drawn wide but should still be in the finish. MILITARY MASTER (7) had his chance when he led and was narrowly beaten first up but will be fitter for the run. STAR ARMBRO (4) is racing consistently and will be very hard to catch if he finds the top. THE SHADOW KNOWS (2) now starts from the pole and look a great place chance. Tips: 8 7 4 2 Suggested Bet: MISTER VERSACE (8) each way. Race 10: WESTRAL SECURITY FILM AND WINDOW TINT MS PACE BILLY MACK (4) has been unplaced at his four starts in WA but his efforts have been sound and he gets a chance to break through in this moderate line up. BROOKIES JET (2) has been racing fairly and has the services of a good driver and gun draw which could be crucial. FRANKIE DANCER (1) has been a bit up and down but his best would be hard to beat from the pole. REAL ZEAL (5) was well supported in a stronger field when 5th to El Hombre and must be considered. Tips: 4 2 1 5 Suggested Bet: BILLY MACK (4) each way. Bet Now!
